We Built EverySec Because We Lived the Problem Ourselves
about us
They were doing everything themselves. Building the business by day, catching up on admin at midnight. Trying to keep up with social media they didn't have the skills — or the hours — to do well. Juggling bookkeeping they dreaded, emails that piled up, and a to-do list that never got shorter.
And for our women founders? Add running a household, raising children, and carrying the invisible load so many of us know intimately — and rarely talk about.
That gap between having a strategy and being able to execute it is what led us to start EverySec.
For over 15 years, I worked alongside small business owners — as a business consultant, advisor, mentor, and programme facilitator. Through the Punaoa Business Growth Programme, via Zoom, in workshops, and across the many business programmes I've delivered, I connected with hundreds of founders at every stage of their journey.
And alongside one of our founding specialists, we saw the same thing — over and over. Founders with vision in abundance. The problem was everything else that competed for their time and energy every single day.
I know these questions intimately — because I lived them. When I first hired a VA, I thought I was solving the problem. Instead, I added a new one: time spent recruiting, onboarding, managing, and money spent with inconsistent results. It ate into exactly what I was trying to protect — my time.
Here's the reality — most small business owners can't afford to hire staff. And even when a business owner decides they need help, actually finding and hiring a VA is its own nightmare. Where do you even start? How do you know they'll be reliable? Will they understand Kiwi culture and the NZ market? If you're a Pacific or Māori business owner — will they truly understand your community, your clients, and the way you communicate?
Hiring Help Was a Problem on Its Own
We started EverySec because we believed there had to be a better way — a way for business owners to have the support of a team, without the cost and complexity of employment.
We built an incredible team based in the Philippines, Australia, and the UAE — skilled, dedicated, and deeply invested in our clients' success. Before they ever work with a client, every EverySec team member is trained in Kiwi culture, Māori culture, Pacific culture, and the ethnic diversity of New Zealand — so they understand how to create content that's relevant, respectful, and resonant for this market.
They come equipped with the tools and the reliable connection to deliver quality work — not just good intentions. And the HR? We handle it. The personal issues, the management, the team support — that sits with us, not with you. You only pay for productive hours.
Our passion is time. Giving business owners back the hours that belong to them. Time to be present with their families. Time to invest in their own health and wellbeing. Time to focus on the parts of their business that light them up.
One of our founding specialists also runs a management and monetization agency, working with creators and platforms capturing millions of followers and engagement — so social media strategy and digital marketing is genuinely in our DNA. We're not guessing at this. We live it.
We want to be honest about something else too. Building EverySec hasn't been easy. Like many of the business owners we work with, we've faced our own challenges over the last two years. There have been setbacks, lessons, and moments that tested our commitment. We know what it feels like to keep going when things are hard — because we've lived it too. But we're still here. And we're more committed than ever.
I also run the Inailau Pacific Business Women's Network — a community organisation supporting women founders across the Pacific. When I started, Inailau was a voluntary organisation running one in-person event a year.
With the EverySec team behind me, everything changed. Consistent social media. Regular content. Email marketing. Event promotion. Today, Inailau has grown into a membership organisation running monthly in-person and online events, workshops, and a growing community of Pacific women in business.
“I wouldn't have been able to scale Inailau without the EverySec team. That is not a marketing claim. That is my lived experience as a client of my own service.”

Core values
A future where every small business owner — especially Kiwi, Pacific, Māori and women-led businesses — can access an affordable, culturally-attuned team for the support they need, without having to navigate the cost and complexity of hiring extra staff on their own.
vision
To give SME business owners back their time — handling the content, social media, admin and bookkeeping behind their business, so they can lead from the front and be present for what matters most.
Mission
EverySec grew out of the Punaoa Business Growth Programme — where Jackie developed & delivered this Programme, with Orion, to SME business owners via Zoom and in workshops across New Zealand, and were selected as 1 of 3 suppliers in the Northland region to deliver these services for Māori and Pacific business owners. Seeing founders with strong strategy but no capacity to execute led them to start EverySec around two years ago. Like most young businesses, the journey has included real setbacks — but the team is still here, and re-launching in 2026 with a clearer offer and a trained, established team.
